About Original Enzian
Original Enzian is one of North America’s oldest traditional German folk dancing groups. This not-for-profit organization is comprised of a group of German/Bavarian-speaking immigrants that came to share the traditions and culture of their former homeland through music and dance, as well as blending with new ones from America.
Original Enzian is dedicated not only to preserving the Bavarian Schuhplattler dance and cultural traditions – but in fostering lifelong friendships among young and old.
Food & Drinks
It just wouldn’t be a Bavarian festival without the delicious food and beer to wash it down! Sample perfectly seasoned and cooked bratwurst on a pretzel bun with sauerkraut or our giant 10 oz. Bavarian pretzel imported directly from Munich, made even better by adding warm craft beer cheese. Go super traditional with potato pancakes, house made by Executive Chef Herbert Aigner following a traditional recipe. We have more traditional and modern menu choices, so there’s something for everyone. It all goes great with a German beer; you have your choice of several different styles on tap. For those who like a lighter beer, Krombacher Hell or a Schöfferhofer Grapefruit fits the bill. Try a hefeweisse from Erdinger, a more traditional lager like Spaten or a nice smooth dark beer like Krombacher Dunkel.
A Coffee/Cake Booth is available, providing a variety of desserts from Riesterer’s Bakery, coffee and tea.

Adult Activities
Strong Man: Show your strength while trying to ring the bell! A carnival-style competition with the opportunity to win a beautiful beer stein.
Maβkrugstemmen: Compete against a friend to see how long you can hold a pitcher in your outstretched arm without spilling or lowering your arm.
Darts: Test your accuracy for a chance to win multiple prizes.
Bavarian Triple Crown: Participate in ALL 3 activities above (at a discounted price) to accumulate points and play as often as you want! At the end of each day, a winner takes home a Plattduetsche Park Restaurant gift certificate!
For those interested in showing off their strength/skill, we will have a daily Bier Stein Holding competition for both Men and Women. Contenders need to register; the entry fee will include a FREE bier stein filled with beer. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Competition time will be ~7:30pm on Saturday and ~5:00pm on Sunday.

VIP Taste of Bavaria Buffet Experience
For our 50th anniversary, Original Enzian is partnering with the Park Restaurant to offer a VIP Taste of Bavaria Buffet Experience. Each day (Saturday from 5:30pm till 7:00pm & Sunday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm), you are invited to partake in a buffet like no other. Please click on “Info & Menu” for further details.

A bracelet will be provided upon admission for each person purchasing a VIP reservation ticket.
Start Times:
Saturday (5:30pm till 7:00pm); Sunday (3:30pm to 5pm). There will only be one sit-down session each day for a duration of 1½ hours. Advance ticket purchases for the VIP Taste of Bavaria Buffet Experience may not be interchanged to the other day (a Saturday reservation is for Saturday and a Sunday reservation is for Sunday).
We will have signage at the Bavarian Festival to direct reservation holders to the VIP buffet.
